We have a lot of people wanting to invest but don’t necessarily have a lot of money to do so. You may have aspirations of making money with a lot of companies but your money is not where it needs to be.
The most popular app for this is Robinhood, a free platform to invest in the stock market. Robinhood has become increasingly popular lately now that investing is more widespread. The problem is there are a LOT of companies that are traded publicly. If you’re financially limited, how do you choose?
Answer: M1. M1 is an investment platform that allows you to buy partial shares and place them in “pies”. You can allocate what percentage goes to what company so you have full control. They have trade windows and all of the rest of the bells and whistles that Robinhood have except they don’t allow you to do options.
It’s $100 minimum to join. It’s free transactions and if you have over $10K in an account they have a “borrow” option as well. It’s a great app. User friendly and they have a nice research tab. If you have at least 100 bucks and want to get start investing, get on over to M1 Finance.
